Specialist, brings almost 20 years of
experience in the field of sports medicine and
rehabilitation to I. A native of Chicago, Michael has
been fortunate to work with all levels of athletes from
the weekend warrior to professional athletes. .
Prior to joining Impact Sports Performance, Michael was
an Athletic Trainer with the Chicago Blackhawks
of the NHL for 6 years, additionally he has worked with
teams from the NBA, MLB, MLS and NFL.
He continues to work with the US Rugby and US
Soccer national teams.
Michael has been active with legislation in the athletic
training profession. He also teaches courses in anatomy
and rehabilitation throughout the country. Michael
received a B.S. degree in Athletic Training from
Southern Illinois University and a M.S. degree in Sports
Medicine and Exercise Physiology from the University of
Illinois.
Michael and his wife Amy reside in Denver and enjoy
spending time with their 3 year old triplets
(Charlie, Molly and Katy) and their 1 year old
twins (Patrick and Daniel). He is
actively involved in the Denver community and his
church.

Keeley

Kim is an Associate
Coordinator for Athletic Training Services and
Clinical Education and an Instructor in the Dept of
Exercise and Rehabilitative Sciences.

She received her
undergraduate degree from Slippery Rock and her
Master of Science Degree in Recreation and Sport
Sciences with a concentration in Athletic Training
from Ohio University.

Prior to coming to Slippery
Rock Kim worked at Gardner-Webb University in North
Carolina; working with the D1 Women's soccer and
basketball programs and teaching classes in the
CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education
program.

Trish Bare Grounds

MS, ATC - Bare Essentials
Sports Medicine

Trish is the owner of Bare
Essentials Sports Medicine and works with other
companies such as Winning Medical International.

She
has worked at the high school, collegiate,
professional and Olympic levels.

In addition to her athletic
trainer work Trish is a writer, instructor and
researcher.

She has been associated
with USA Taekwondo for 17 years and
is the Medical Director for the AAU Taekwondo
National Championships and has worked all over the
world in a wide variety of sports.

Trish
works with Paralympics and disabled sports athletes
from amateur, collegiate and professional teams

Pryor

David received his BS in
Athletic Training from Slippery Rock University

Athletic Training from West Virginia University

Before joining the staff at
West Liberty, David was a Graduate Assistant
Athletic Trainer at WVU working at both a large AAA
high school and a physical therapy clinic.

Jesse
Townsend |

Jesse is a Manager with
Athletic Training & Development at UPMC Center for
Sports Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA.
-
His
responsibilities include supervising athletic
trainers at 11 high schools, managing the daily
operations of the athletic training program, and
assisting in developing the sports medicine program
at UPMC.
-
He received his
undergraduate degree from Slippery Rock University
and his graduate degree from University of
Pittsburgh.
-
Prior to being promoted to
a Manager in 2008, he spent 8 years as a UPMC
certified athletic trainer at Greensburg Salem High
School in Greensburg, PA.
-
He enjoyed the 2005
season as a UPMC athletic trainer that provided
assistance to the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh
Steelers’ full time staff.

Marketa is a Medical
Coordinator for SRU athletics, is a member of the
Athletic Training Education faculty and a student
advisor.

Additionally, she teaches
classes in the CAATE accredited Athletic Training
Education program.

She received her BS in
Athletic Training and Exercise Science and Master of
Science Degree in Recreation and Sport Sciences with
a concentration in Athletic Training from Ohio
University.

She is currently working on
her dissertation for her doctoral degree in Teachers
Education

Before returning to SRU,
Marketa served as a head athletic trainer for a
local high school and worked with the Ohio
University men's hockey team.

He received a BS degree
from Eastern Michigan in Athletic Training and an MS
in Kinesiology from the University of Texas in
Austin.

Before joining the staff at
Toledo he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer
at the University of Texas at Austin, and a
Certified Intern trainer at Northwestern University.

Corey also has experience
as a two-time intern in the Arena Football League
with the Grand Rapids Rampage and the Austin
Wranglers.

Zema

Scott
is an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Exercise
and Rehabilitative Sciences, the
Associate-Coordinator for Athletic Training Service
and the Clinical Site Coordinator.

He
is a member of the BOC Examination Development
Committee, is the District 2 representative on the
committee and is an examiner for the national
certification exam.

Scott
is a past winner of the Daniel Libera Service Award,
and has served as the head athletic trainer for the
US Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association D1 and D3
all-star game.
-
Prior
to Slippery Rock Scott worked in various capacities
at Alfred University in New York and Olivet College
in Michigan.
